RIVER SIGNAge

There is very little signage on the Guadalupe River that gives information on fishing regulations and how to protect the fish you catch. Below are mockups of signage that could be posted on different sections of the river to increase awareness of fishing regulations and other important information.

Fishing Regulations

Most of the signs showing the regulations for the fish in the Guadalupe River are very old and hard to see. Revamping the regulations signage would be beneficial for both the fish and the people fishing the river.

Handling and releasing

This is one of the most important signs. Having a sign that shows anglers how to properly handle and release the trout they catch back into the river would increase the trout's chance of survival after being caught.

Species of the Guadalupe

There is no signage that shows people visiting the Guadalupe River what species are in the river. This signage would inform visitors of what species they are likely to encounter while on the Guadalupe River.

trout zone one

This sign will be used to let anglers know they are entering trout zone one and that there are special regulations for this section of the river when fishing for trout.

trout zone two

Because the Guadalupe River has two trout sections with different regulations. It is important to have signage that shows anglers when they are entering trout zone two and how the regulations differ from trout zone one.
